We would all like to welcome everyone back from what is hoped to be a very refreshing and enjoyable Holiday break, a break that started early with the last Friday of school being a snow day. Just a couple of items for students to process at this time:

1. First, bus riders… for the afternoon bus ride home… Nine buses for the afternoon ride home have changed their order in the way they line up. Each homeroom teacher has a map that highlights the new bus order. If you ride the bus in the afternoon make sure you take a look at this new positioning order. If you don’t, it may cause you to miss your bus. It is probably a good idea for homeroom teachers to post that new map somewhere within the classroom for student viewing.
2. Second, just a reminder that there are three weeks left in the semester, so students make sure you are up to date with all projects and assignments in all classes
3. Third, there is a faculty meeting right after school this afternoon, so students, teachers will not be available to assist you with any of your schoolwork, please make arrangements to schedule meetings with teachers for later this week.

All library lunch detentions will be served today (Monday) in the library – Check outside the library.

All library books are due today! They may be returned tomorrow without fines. Books returned Wednesday or later will have a fine.

Tomorrow (Tuesday), all CMS students will attend an Internet Safety Program in the Little Theatre. The purpose of this event which is put on by the Michigan Attorney General’s Office, is to educate students about safe surfing, effective usage, etc. There will also be a program for all Portage Public School parents at North Middle School in the evening at 6:30. Please encourage your parents to attend. There are flyers in the front office that you can take home. An attendance schedule for tomorrow’s program by grade level will be announced.
