RE: Superintendent Search

Dr. Greg Gray has informed the Portage Public Schools Board of Education that he is no longer a candidate for the position of Superintendent of Schools.

Dr. Gray has cited personal and family reasons for his decision.

While this turn of events is certainly disappointing, the Board respects the fact that Dr. Gray's first and foremost priority is his family.

At a Special Meeting, on April 29, the Board of Education agreed to restart the search process with our consultant, Hazard, Young, & Attea, and review progress and next steps at the end of May.

You can stay informed about all of the events involved in the search process by 'clicking on' the Search Planning Document to the right.

Thank you for your assistance with this most important task.

Sincerely,

Robert ‘Bo’ Snyder
President
Board of Education
