Middle School New-Student Orientations

- Central: Tuesday, Aug. 26. A-L will be 9-11 and M-Z will be 1-2:30. This serves as the 6th grade Open House and new student orientation.

- North: Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 9 a.m.

- West: Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 9 a.m. This serves as the 6th grade Open House and new student orientation.

High School New-Student Orientations

Central and Northern both on Thursday, Aug. 28, at 1 p.m., at each of their auditoriums.

Open Houses

- Elementary open houses will be Sept. 11 from 6:30-8 p.m., with the exception of Central from 6-7:30 p.m., and Moorsbridge from 6-7 p.m.

- Middle School open houses will be Sept. 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. At CMS and WMS, it is for 7th and 8th grades only (their open house for 6th grades is a part of their New Student Orientation), while the NMS event is for 6 through 8 grades.

- High School open houses for CHS and NHS will be Sept. 10 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and Community High holds theirs on Sept. 15 from
6-8 p.m.

National Family Day & Portage Community
"Call to Action" on Substance Abuse

The public is invited to this meeting at Portage City Hall on Sept. 22 from 7-8 p.m., to learn more about the community response to substance abuse. This event is sponsored by Prevention Works, Portage Schools, City of Portage, and the Kalamazoo County Substance Abuse Task Force.
