Portage Education Foundation

The PEF, established in 1990, is a 501(c)3 non-profit and has awarded more than $300,000 in support of students, staff, and district initiatives throughout Portage Schools. The PEF has assisted hundreds of students and faculty with grants covering a variety of costs not typically covered by District or individual school budgets. Read More

Cultural Diversity Committee

The Cultural Diversity Committee provides feedback on District activities that relate to cultural diversity. This advisory committee, which meets on a regular basis throughout the school year, focuses on increasing knowledge in the area of multiculturalism throughout the school community. Read More

District Advisory Council


The District Advisory Council meets monthly throughout the school year providing a critical link between Portage Schools and the community. DAC members provide two-way communications by bringing grass-roots input to the group and by taking information back to their schools or organizations. The Council, which often serves the role as a focus group or think-tank for the District, serves in an advisory capacity to the superintendent. Read More
