Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) (MCL 15.231 et. seq.) regulates and sets requirements for the disclosure of public records by public bodies within the state of Michigan.  The information must already exist in document form. FOIA does not require the creation of information or summaries.  Please refer to the Portage Public Schools FOIA Procedures and Guidelines Manual.
