PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention Support. PBIS is what we practice at Community High to encourage our students to BE successful in school, outside of school, and eventually, when they enter the workforce.
We have four BEs we focus on: Be Here, Be On Time, Be Positive and Be Productive. These BEs can be applied to any area of the school and, of course, the work force.
It is our goal to focus on the positive things students do and reward those positive actions. Sometimes that reward is a verbal “nice job”, a note highlighting their positive action or it can even be something tangible.
