New Families – Set up a Registration Account
An email address is required to enroll. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email with your username, password, and a clickable link to begin the registration process. Please save this email.
Current Portage Families – Log into Skyward Family Access.
Find the “New Student Online Enrollment” button at the top of the lefthand menu to begin.
Complete the “New Student Online Enrollment: Application Form”.
This is an application only. Enrollment will not be complete until the required documents have been submitted.
This application should be completed only by families who live within the District boundaries or who have received an approval letter to attend from out of district.
If you are moving to the area but do not yet have an address, please wait until you have address to complete this enrollment application.
If you enroll over a break during which school is not in session, please wait until you connect with the school directly prior to bringing your child in to start school.

Contact your school to schedule a time to submit the following documents in person:
- Birth certificate – Original must be verified.
- Proof of residency – Recently dated gas, electric, trash, water, or utility bill; property tax bill; lease; mortgage; or renters or homeowners insurance. A driver’s license or cell phone bill cannot be used as proof.
- Immunization records
- Hearing/vision screenings – Kindergarten/Young 5s only
- Current transcript – High School students only
Over the summer months, documents may be turned in at the Administration Bldg, Mon-Thurs.
Young 5s-Kindergarten: Families are required to attend an enrollment meeting and contact the school to finalize enrollment. Read here for more info and to sign up for an enrollment meeting. If time slots are full or the dates have passed, contact the school to schedule your child’s meeting.
Grades 1-5: Families are encouraged to finalize enrollment during the elementary school enrollment hours: 9:30-11:30am or 1:00-3:00pm.
Grades 6-8: Families are encouraged to make an appointment with the school’s guidance office to finalize enrollment to allow time for course selection and student assessments as needed.
Grades 9-12: Families are required to make an appointment with the school’s guidance office to finalize enrollment.
