  • PCHS Community Service Award Guidelines

  • Volunteer Service Form

  • Please note that community service hours must be completed in person with a non-profit organization. Hours completed with an individual or a for-profit business will not be accepted. For example, Little Leagues and AYSO are acceptable, but for-profit athletic facilities are not. Additionally, service hours can only be authorized by an adult directly affiliated with the activity and not a relative. High school students cannot authorize hours.

  • For service hours to be applied towards the service award, the service form must be submitted to Mr. Brown in room 1133 (Welcome Center or Main Office if Mr. Brown is unavailable) no later than four weeks from the date of the service hours. For example, if you completed your service on September 1, the form must be turned in by September 29. If you are participating in an ongoing activity, you must keep a log sheet of the dates and times when you volunteer and have an authorized person initial every entry. Ongoing activity hours must be submitted every four weeks to be counted. Additionally, any summer hours must be submitted to Mr. Brown within two weeks after the start of the new school year. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Brown.

  • If you are interested in outside community service opportunities, please check the Community Bulletin Board located on the 2nd-floor balcony, reach out to Mrs. Smith and/or Mrs. Imus in the Activities Office, or search online for Volunteerism in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

  • Summer community service hours must be submitted by Friday, September 13 in order to be counted towards the 2024-25 Community Service Award. No summer hours will be accepted after this date. Please submit your service forms to Mr. Brown in the Study Lab (1133) or the main office.
