Know someone moving to our school district?

Families new to Portage Public Schools can visit our district PPS Enrollment website and select the 'New Families' link to register their student(s).  If you have questions specific to high school enrollment, please contact our registrar, Nicole Gutshall, at 269-323-5282 or email ngutshall@portageps.org.  During the summer she will be checking emails periodically.  

For general enrollment questions, please visit our district enrollment website or call the PPS Administration Building at 269-323-5000.  You can also visit them at 8107 Mustang Drive, Portage, MI. The PPS Administration Building is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A Note to Parents

The counselors would like to remind parents and students that we are here to advocate for the students and their needs. We would like to encourage parents to:

• Contact the individual teachers first with concerns about assignments, grades, or student progress.

• Ask teachers for specific feedback and to offer specific recommendations/suggestions for improving academic achievement in their classes.

• Contact counselors if grade concerns are not resolved.

• Seek additional help from teachers before or after school…consult teachers to make appointments.

• Contact counselors if/when questions arise.
