Portage Public Schools and the Board of Education believe that school facilities are a valuable community resource to be made available for community use. 

Please note, facility use requests for the 2024-25 school year will open on July 1, 2024.

Please keep in mind the following guidelines:

•  Portage Public Schools teams and events have top priority.

• Athletic facilities are generally not available during a team’s official season

• PPS does not rent facilities for private use (i.e. birthday parties).

•  All non-PPS organizations/teams are considered community groups and are granted use under the following parameters:

  • The requested time and place are available

  • Facilities are not open to Community use before school or after school prior to 6pm

  • There is a fee to use PPS facilities.

  • PPS does not rent classrooms

  • Gyms, Fields and Meeting rooms are not available mid-June through the end August to allow for mandatory cleaning and maintenance.
