Facility Use Request

Portage Public Schools and the Board of Education believe that school facilities are a valuable community resource to be made available for community use. 

Please note, facility use requests open on July 1st for the upcoming school year.

Please keep in mind the following guidelines:

  • Portage Public Schools teams and events have first priority

  • Athletic facilities are not available during a team’s official season

  • PPS does not rent facilities for private use (i.e. birthday parties)

  •  All non-PPS organizations/teams are considered community groups and are granted use under the following parameters:

    • The requested time and place are available

    • Facilities are not open to community use before school or after school prior to 6pm

    • There is a fee to use PPS facilities

    • PPS does not allow community use of individual classrooms

    • PPS facilities are not available for community use from mid-June through the end August to allow for mandatory cleaning and maintenance
