It is National School Bus Safety Week!
Annually, our fleet of buses undergo a state safety inspection. Once again this year, the Transportation Department received an A+ Certificate of Excellence.
Our transportation team of about 77 people includes bus drivers, administrators, bus aides and driver substitutes. This fall, PPS hired seven new drivers! The team is responsible for getting about 5,500 students to and from school safely every day.
That is equivalent to moving a small city! Great job, Transportation Department!
