The organizations choose books that are cross-generational for our youth and adults to read together.
The 2024 CommuniTeen Read book is Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys. The book takes place in 1945 as World War II draws to a close in East Prussia. Thousands of refugees are on a desperate trek toward freedom. The story follows the paths of three people who are forced by circumstance to unite and trust in each other with each step toward safety.
