Did you know that PPS enjoys the companionship of nine specially-trained comfort dogs? Watch the video at the link below to learn about how Central Elementary's Mazie, much like her puppy peers, helps our students and staff. Mrs. Kirschman's and Mrs. Shugars' Healthy Living class at Portage Community High School made protein rich egg bites Thursday. The students have been learning about inexpensive nutrient rich "easy" meals they can make at home. They even used the chives that were grown by Mr. Trierweiler's Agricultural Science class. Great job!!

Ward Vanderberg spent four years in the U.S. Air Force and four decades working at what was once known as the Upjohn Company. But, driving students to and from school every day for the past 18 years is the most rewarding job he's ever had. Vanderberg is one of the dozens of PPS bus drivers responsible for safely transporting some 5,500 students to and from school at Portage Public Schools. Thursday, Feb. 22, is National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! We have many smiling faces to appreciate across the District. THANK YOU to the PPS Transportation Team! To read more about Ward's story, visit portageps.org/news.
