Mr. Hageman, music teacher at Haverhill Elementary, is spending his summer break advocating for his students! Mark joined 300 other music teachers from across the U.S. last week on Capitol Hill to advocate for the funding of music education in public schools. "This was a wonderful opportunity to advocate on behalf of music teachers across the state and the first of many Hill Days I plan to attend," Mark said.

Learning to bake involves math, attention to detail and lessons on kitchen safety. 5th graders from Haverhill Elementary are getting these hands-on lessons in their new Baking Club. A special thank you to Haverhill teacher Ms. Harrell and building substitute Ms. Cox for putting on such a great experience for the students. And thank you to Dr. Ledlow for opening up the Portage Northern High kitchen and to folks in the Transportation Department for getting these students to the high school for the club after school.
