The Kalamazoo Community Foundation Youth Advisory Council is seeking 5-10 new members; any high school age student residing in Kalamazoo County is eligible to apply. They are actively seeking 9th and 10th graders, though all ages of high schoolers are welcome to apply.
There are no GPA requirements for the YAC. The YAC looks for students who care about their community and have the time to commit to the program.
The YAC provides high school students a chance to build leadership capacity, connect with peers, learn about justice issues, and participate in equity-informed grantmaking with KZCF’s nonprofit partners.
The YAC meets every other Thursday evening, from 6:00-7:30, at the Kalamazoo Community Foundation (402 East Michigan Avenue).
