Portage Northern High School together with the Boys Basketball program would like to thank the Portage families who joined us last Tuesday, January 30 for our Elementary School Night in the Igloo! Portage elementary aged students were admitted into the game for $2 with a paying adult, given a poster and a complimentary basketball and then were ushered over to meet the Varsity team. The Huskie basketball players took pictures, signed posters and chatted with the students before it was time for them to take the court. Students then made a little "tunnel" for the players as they ran out onto the court. Check out the video here.
The schools represented on Tuesday in the Igloo were 12th Street, Amberly, Angling Rd, Central and Woodland. It was wonderful to see the smiles on the students, both elementary and high school, as well as the families. Huskies basketball went on to win against Three Rivers 71-36. Next up the Huskies will travel to Gull Lake TONIGHT. Tip off begins at 7:15pm. Let's Go Huskies! We can't wait until our next Elementary School Night!!! #packstrong #huskieforlife
