Portage Northern High School together with the Lady Huskies Girls Basketball program would like to thank the Portage families who joined us last Thursday, February 29 for our Elementary School Night in the Igloo! Portage elementary aged students were admitted into the game for $2 with a paying adult where they were invited to meet the Varsity team. The Lady Huskie basketball players took pictures, signed posters and chatted with the students before it was time for them to take the court. Students then made a little "tunnel" for the players as they ran out onto the court.
It was wonderful to see the smiles on the students, both elementary and high school, as well as the families. The Lady Huskies went on to win against Schoolcraft in overtime 54-52. It was a wonderful way to spend our last conference game! We can't wait until our next Elementary School Night!!! #packstrong #huskieforlife
