Arbor Financial Credit Union came to Portage Northern High School in April to lead Mrs. Meyer's Accounting and Advanced Accounting students in a real-world activity where they got to choose their career, which gave them a salary, and then they went from station to station to make important adult decisions.
Students were required to choose an entertainment and leisure package, a housing package, a communications package, furniture, and what they would give to charity, among other decisions.
They used an app which calculated their budget, and at the end they got to meet with a credit counselor to discuss where they may have overspent.
Thank you Arbor and to all the volunteers who helped!
