Do it for Phoebe!
Colleagues have been hosting this event for 20 years now, always raising money for worthwhile causes. And truly for our school-community there is no better cause than having a well trained and awesome therapy dog that supports all our kids, on their good days and on their very worst days. So all the proceeds from this event will go toward the $8,000 cost for getting a new dog for when Phoebe retires, which will be a lot sooner than we like because we will miss her deeply.
The new therapy dog will be incredible too – because the folks who find and train our dogs are amazing and have had decades of experience in their work.
Here is the program for the night, which will be full of laughs – mostly at our expense as colleagues. Remember family members can join us too – along with our wonderful students. The cost to join us will be $5 or any donation you feel you as a family can give. And if you can’t join us, but would still like to contribute to a new therapy dog, drop me an email or give me a call – (269)323-5255 – anytime!
Thank you so much – and it will be great to see you Monday night!
Juniors taking the SAT, do you need a calculator?

Just a reminder…
Link Crew Applications were available on Friday, March 8th
For those of you who may or may not know, Link Crew is a program at Portage Central High School where upperclassmen (11th and 12th graders) build relationships and encourage participation with our 9th graders. Link Crew sets the tone not only for the freshman class but also for all of PC because of each Link Leader's commitment to modeling what it means to be a Mustang and an active, integral part of this special place. So, if you are an upcoming Junior or Senior for next year, and you think this is something you could do, please fill out the attached application and submit it by 3 p.m. on Friday, March 15th. Be sure to check the required dates and the time commitment. The link will also be in the announcements and on the GLIC. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Smith, Activities Director, at nsmith@portageps.org.

Teddy Bear Drive & Service Hours Opportunity
The Optimist Club and NHS are hosting a Teddy Bear Drive beginning on March 11 and ending on March 21. Everyone is welcome to participate by donating NEW stuffed animals into the bins located near the Welcome Center. All contributions will go to the Bronson Hospital Pediatric Unit. Another opportunity that is open to students seeking service hours includes making cards for patients. Cards can either be made on your own time or join us on March 13th at 7:05 am in Mr. Baas- Peterson’s room in collaboration with the Optimist Club. In addition, we are hosting a second session in collaboration with the National Honor Society that will be held in Mr. Baker’s room after school on March 19th. This is an opportunity to create cards with all supplies provided and talk to a Bronson Representative! Each letter will count for 30 minutes towards service. Mark the date because there will be donuts & cookies, so make sure to come and bring friends and a smile!
