Our Daily Announcements to our students
First responders were called to PC to support a student this morning
One of our students experienced a medical emergency this morning during our third-hour class. At this point we are unaware of the cause of the medical emergency. We are very grateful that PC students and colleagues responded very quickly, along with our community first responders.
Our Portage Fire Department was here in moments to further support our student, with emergency medics and doctors a few minutes behind. Our student’s parents were also here very quickly. Our student body waited patiently in their third-hour classes while the medical professionals supported our student for about 45 minutes.
There simply are no words to express how grateful we are for how thoughtfully and quickly students and colleagues communicated, so that we could respond. Too, the medical professionals who helped our student were incredible: skilled, prepared and caring.
We hope to provide an update in this week’s Mustang Minutes.
