Our Daily Announcements to our students
Breadlift was a tremendous success – thanks to you!
On Saturday, hundreds of Mustang students collected donations in exchange for bread in the annual Breadlift event. This year, we raised over $14,000 for the Congenital Heart Center at Mott Children’s Hospital in honor of Jenna Howard. Student Council would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone involved. Breadlift truly takes a community, and this year; everyone did their part. Thank you to our donors around Portage, our amazing students, our parents, and the students at Portage Northern who will continue to raise money this weekend.
Don’t you want to look as good as Maverick?

Buy a brick for McCamley or Mustang Field, or a tile for the new pool! Great Holiday Gifts!
So many families and community members purchased bricks at the new McCamley and Mustang Fields and tiles at the new pool — to leave their mark in these spaces where so many great kids, parents, families, and community members celebrated and where so many more will celebrate decades into the future.
This sale continues until Graduation Day this spring. So if you are considering a brick at the new McCamley or Mustang Field, click here. If you would like a tile at the new pool, click here.
Thank you — again and again — for all that you have done!
Thank you to our local businesses who support us in so many ways!
One of my favorite authors would complain, Everybody wants to build and nobody wants to do maintenance. And I get it: we have been a community of builders and farmers for our 100-year history. And over the years we have been blessed to build so much – and some of that maintenance of those community investments can only happen with the help of our local business partners. They help us accomplish tasks as varied as replacing our 19-year-old golf cart that shuttled community members to athletic events for years, to buying tools to maintain our Community Garden and Centennial Park.
So over the next few weeks we will be publicly thanking these businesses here in Mustang Minutes and elsewhere on campus. And if there is any way she can show your thanks as well, we would appreciate it!
Grateful for our amazing kids and our hugely supportive community,
Eric Alburtus
