The window for In-District Transfer is now open through March 1. This program is for families living within the District who would like to apply for an exception to our school building boundaries. Apply at portageps.org/enrollment.
On Wednesday, a group of 6th graders traveled to meet with their 1st grade friends from Amberly! These scholars will be developing original science books together throughout the 3rd Quarter. The project will culminate with the 6th graders meeting with their 1st grade friends and showing them the final product at the end of the quarter.
This project is 1 of 4 literacy projects 6th graders will participate in throughout the year.
Can't wait to see what each partnership develops this quarter!

Congratulations to 8th graders Tyler D (trumpet), Julia M (Flute) & Claire M (Clarinet) for being selected to the 2025 MSBOA All-State Band. The Pioneers performed in Grand Rapids as part of the Michigan Music Conference.
Dennis K (French Horn) and Ben H (Euphonium) were selected as Honorable Mention!

Congratulations to our Pioneer wrestlers for their overall team victory at the Battle Creek Lakeview Invitational yesterday! Out of 33 wrestlers, 26 of them finished in 4th place or higher!

The cold spell continues! PPS will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025. Curious Kids will open at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Due to the continued freezing temperatures and snowy conditions, PPS will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025. Curious Kids will also be closed and Winter Walking is canceled Tuesday.
Due to the extreme cold and snow PPS is closed Monday, January 20th 2025. Curious Kids childcare is closed as well.
